(EJNews) – The Israel Pavilion will be one of 71 outdoor pavilions showcased at the Edmonton 2018 Heritage Festival on August 5 and 6 amidst the beautiful splendour of Hawrelak Park and there are still spots available for volunteers from the community to help.

Being a volunteer means enjoying a sense of community, finding new friendships, developing new skills, and being part of an inclusive environment, and that is only the beginning!

The award winning Israel Pavilion is one of the most acclaimed at the annual cultural festival, having won multiple awards in year’s past for superb entertainment, cultural display and arts exhibits.

The Israel Pavilion, hosted by the Jewish Federation of Edmonton, will be showing off the beauty of Israel and Israeli culture in this year’s Festival yet again through our extravagant cultural display, talented entertainment, and delicious cuisine.

The 1800 square foot display takes you on a remarkable journey through Israel starting at the great heights of Masada down to the beauty of Tel Aviv, with stops at the Dead Sea, Ein Gedi, and the Carmel Market along the way.

The very talented Aviv Dancers will be providing visitors with their own journey through Israel, showcasing Israeli arts and entertainment.

Last but certainly not least, visitors will also have the opportunity to try some unique Israeli foods such as lemonana (lemonade with mint), rugelach, and falafel.

As the Israel Pavilion grows in popularity, volunteers are needed to ensure its success.  Click here to sign up for a volunteer shift on Sunday August 5. Click here to sign up for a volunteer shift on Monday August 6.  For more information click here, or contact Tal Toubiana at talt@edjfed.org.
