Purim Festivities at Beth Israel features a “Superheroes and Princesses Unite” party March 12

(EJNews) – Purim festivities begin at Beth Israel – the Family Shul – with Mishloach Manot “duffel bags” delivered to all members of the congregation. Mishloach Manot are the traditional gifts that we give to each other on Purim.  Please call the office to contribute to this wonderful Mitzvah.  780-488-2840

Beth Israel Purim celebrations have been to Hogwartz, Oz, and Persia… now it’s time to unite as Superheroes and Princesses for Purim 2017!

On March 11, the Beth Israel is hosting a pre-party for all kids.  Dress up, play games, eat treats, and celebrate!

On March 12, the Beth Israel presents an extravaganza for all ages featuring Royal Prep, Superhero Training, a Villains’ chambers (+18 only), live music, good eats, and more!

As we enjoy the festivities, we must remember the need for Matanot La’evyonim – the act of providing monetary gifts or support for those in need.  You can fulfill the mitzvah of giving gifts to those in need by donating cash at the Jewish Family Services booth to purchase grocery gift cards and/or bringing items for the Edmonton Food Bank (a box is currently available).

Princesses and Superheroes are traveling from near and as far away as Disneyland, so come join the celebration, starting with the Megillah reading at 1:30 pm.
