Nathaniel Rateliff – what a way to close a festival!

Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats gave an electrifying performance as the closing act of the 2016 Edmonton Folk Music Festival.

(EJNews) – Another stellar Edmonton Folk Music Festival wrapped up on Sunday night August 6, with great music, a wonderful atmosphere and the natural amphitheatre of Gallagher Hill that makes it a truly unforgettable experience. The weather was perfect, and the music and performers were amazing.

There is always something for everyone at Folk Fest, whether you are a fan of folk music, indie rock, blue grass, traditional blues, or rhythm and blues. Even then, outside of the music the weekend encapsulates so much of what is great about being in Edmonton in the summer. Enjoying the outdoors, great weather, and hot summer nights, having a beverage with good friends, and the countless old friends you will run into. The food is always great too.

Folk Fest is one of the highlights of summer in the festival city and this year did not disappoint. The weekend was brought to an apex on Sunday night when Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats took the stage. Their high energy blues-rock style engaged the whole audience. The sound was infectious giving you no choice but to stand, dance, and enjoy the show.
