(AJNews) – It has come to our attention that as of October 12, 2023 Canada Post has temporarily suspended outgoing mail service to Israel, West Bank, and Gaza Strip, citing a lack of available transport.
After receiving a return to sender piece of mail addressed to an associate in Israel, Alberta Jewish News staff confirmed with Canada Post that there is indeed a temporary suspension of service.
If you are planning to send care packages, words of support, photographs, etc to loved ones in Israel please do so by other means such as phone calls, video messages, instant messaging and/or e-mails.
