(AJNews) – Happy Chanukah to the whole community! We appreciate your patience in receiving the Chanukah edition this year. It is definitely on its way to you – in transit with Canada Post. Hopefully it will arrive in your mailboxes before Chanukah.
Some of you have already received a copy. Each month we send bundles of newspapers to the schools, shuls and other community gathering places. This year, we sent double the number of newspapers in 10 boxes by FedEx to the gathering places within the Calgary Jewish community to ensure that you, our readers can enjoy the newspaper before the holiday.
Newspapers can be picked up at the Paperny Family Calgary Jewish Community Centre, Beth Tzedec Congregation, Temple B’nai Tikvah, House of Jacob Mikveh Israel, Jewish Family Services Calgary and Chabad of Alberta. They are also available in our Blue Newspaper Box in front of Glenmore Landing Safeway and at Grumans Delicatessen. We send newspapers to Calgary Jewish Academy and Halpern Akiva Academy too but they will be closed for winter break.
In Edmonton, newspapers can be picked up at Bliss Baked Goods, Beth Shalom Synagogue, Temple Beth Ora, Jewish Federation of Edmonton office, OPH, Jewish Senior Citizens Centre, Chabad of Edmonton and Jewish Family Services. They are also available at our Blue Newspaper Box in front of Callingwood Safeway, at the European Market in Callingwood Square Shopping Centre and at our Blue Newspaper Box in front of BMO in Wolf Willow. We distribute newspapers to Talmud Torah School too but after Friday they will be closed for winter break.
We hope you enjoy the holiday newspaper. We’ve enjoyed putting it together for you! It features greetings from community members, columns by the Rabbis in the community, a gorgeous colouring activity page by artist Jody Wasserman and a variety of interesting articles about people and events taking place within our communities.
Wishing everyone a holiday filled with love.
