Summer Fun at the Jewish Senior Citizens Centre

Join us for lunch, a program or a class at the Edmonton Jewish Senior Citizens Centre. There is always lots to do!

(Edmonton) – You have probably heard about us. But do you really know what we do?

We are the Jewish Senior Citizens Centre and we have fun the whole year round. Our annual Pre- Shabbat Dinner will take place on Friday, June 8. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate traditions with friends at our welcoming and warm Centre.

Looking for the summer adventure? Join us on Wednesday, June 20 for a trip to the beautiful town of Lacombe where we will visit the Ellis Bird Farm and have lunch at the Ellis Cafe. Our members’ price is only $45, non-members’ price – $55. Please RSVP with payment by June 13.

Join us for 4 weeks in July on Mondays from 10 am to noon, as we Rediscover Jane Austen. Professor Emeritus Robert Merritt will take us on a fascinating journey as we learn about Regency England for this exciting and informative program. Everyone is welcome to register for this course; the cost is $40 for members and $50 for non-members. Refreshments will be served during the course. Join us for lunch after the session at noon for just an additional $10 for members and $12 for non-members. Deadline for registration is June 21. When looking for a charity to make donations for sympathy cards, get well wishes, birthday and anniversary greetings, etc. please consider the Jewish Senior Citizen’s Centre.  Cards can be done for $10, $18, $36, and $54.  Of course, larger donations are welcome and plaques for the Shalom Wall are $85 (single) and higher (double, triple, quadruple plaques).  Please inquire at the Centre office if you are interested in more details or call 780-488-4241.  Donations can also be made online via the Canada Helps website.
