Menorah Academy celebrates Mitzvot for Sukkot

Menorah Academy celebrated Sukkot with a Sukkah Hop and a mitzvot contest. Some of the winners are pictured above with Menorah Academy Head of School, Menahel Rabbi Dovid Sass.

Edmonton Menorah Academy’s Grade one class had a wonderful time on their annual Sukkot Hop. They visited various Sukkahs, saw a “real” arba minim (lulav and esrog) and liked seeing the different types of s’chach, decorations and sukkah boards.

Over Sukkot, Menorah Students were involved in a contest to fulfill the different mitzvot associated with the holiday, which were recorded on a chart. Each child who submitted their chart was entered into a draw for exciting prizes and Bliss Baked Goods sponsored donuts for each child that handed in their charts.

Menorah Academy extends a hearty Mazel Tov to all their students and thank you Bliss Baked Goods!

Menorah Academy Grade 1 students enjoyed visiting a number of Sukkahs over the holiday in a Sukkah Hop.
