“I join Jewish communities across Canada and around the world in celebration of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.
“As friends and families gather to mark the beginning of the Jewish month of Tishrei, let us all reflect on the past year, and look forward with hope and renewed purpose to the year ahead.
“The Jewish Canadian community has long been a champion of social justice and community service. Let us take this time to embody the Jewish value of tikkun olam – repairing the world – and reach out to our fellow Canadians in charity and compassion, and work diligently towards positive change for the future.
