(Edmonton) – The Jewish National Fund of Edmonton (JNF) 2019 Negev Gala is proud to honour Freya and Lewis Wasel on Tuesday June 18, 2019 in the Fantasyland Ballroom at West Edmonton Mall. Known for their commitment and devotion to family, community and Israel, Freya and Lewis are most fitting honourees.
In addition to recognizing the honourees, the Negev Gala is an opportunity to support the important work of the JNF, and specifically the project selected by the honourees. The proceeds from this year’s Negev Gala will support the expansion of Airplane Park in Kiryat Shmona – Israel’s northern most city.
Earlier this week, Freya Wasel, one of the Edmonton JNF honourees, had a chance to visit and tour Airplane Park in what she called, simply, a magical day. The group met with many people who are instrumental in making sure that Airplane Park will be a beautiful, open, and inclusive space for all the residents of Kiryat Shmona.
