Chabad of Edmonton is very pleased to announce that in addition to the Annual Candle Lighting Ceremony at the Alberta Legislature, there is a new addition to the celebration this year. There will be a Chanukah Menorah at both Arrivals and Departures at Edmonton International Airport (EIA). What a wonderful way to further spread the message of our holiday of religious freedom.
On Sunday, December 6, from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, Chabad of Edmonton is very honoured to have the Honourable Lois Mitchell, CM, AOE, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta participating in our 24th annual Candle Lighting Ceremony at the Legislature. The event will also feature a performance by the Talmud Torah choir and treats for everyone including doughnuts, latkes and more! There will be a children’s program, Chanukah gelt, cotton candy, popcorn and fun for the entire family. Of course, there will be special Chanukah music for everyone’s enjoyment featuring Cantor Burt Malo and Cantor Eliyahu Glatt accompanied by pianist Paul Polushin.
There will be a free Park & Ride service that picks people up at B. I. (4 PM) and Beth Shalom (4:15 PM) and returns at 6:45 PM.
On Monday, December 7, from 7 to 8 PM, Chabad of Edmonton will inaugurate the newest location for Menorah lighting at the Arrivals area of Edmonton International Airport (EIA). This event will feature doughnuts, Chanukah gelt, dreidels and fun for the whole family. Of course, there will be Chanukah music for everyone’s enjoyment.

Re: Menorah Lighting at Legislature poster. In what year are you?????? Look at the calendar. Sunday is definitely not on December 6th. That leads people into error. Sunday is December 4, 2016. So is Menorah lighting on Tuesday Dec 6th??????
Sorry – that was Chanukah 2015. I’ll put the year in the headline to let people know.
