Calgary JHL Championship Recap: Team Finestone Claims 2025 Title in Thrilling Playoff Run

Team Finestone (Kowall Boutique Real Estate) won the Calgary JHL 2025 title in a thrilling playoff run.

(Calgary) – The Calgary JHL wrapped up another exciting season of Sunday night hockey battles, with four fiercely competitive teams—Team Grintuch, Team Finestone (Kowall Boutique Real Estate), Team Ritchot, and Team Donsky—vying for the championship from September through March.

After a grueling regular season, the standings were set: Team Ritchot finished at the top, followed by Team Donsky, Team Finestone (Kowall Boutique Real Estate), and Team Grintuch. But the playoffs proved that anything could happen.

Team Ritchot needed just one win to secure a spot in the finals, while Team Finestone had to fight through two must-win games—first against Team Grintuch, then against Team Donsky—to earn their shot at the championship. Their resilience paid off, setting up a highly anticipated best-of-three final against Team Ritchot.

Game one saw Team Ritchot take the lead in the series, but Team Finestone refused to back down. With a relentless offensive attack and lockdown defense, they stormed back to win games two and three, securing the 2025 JHL Championship in dramatic fashion. Josh Groberman and Michael Finestone led the charge offensively, while goaltender Daniel Kowall stood tall between the pipes.

Leading the team with determination and passion, captain Jaclyn Finestone did a phenomenal job keeping the squad focused and motivated throughout the playoffs. Sporting their sharp new Kowall Boutique Real Estate jerseys, Team Finestone etched their names in JHL history as the new champions. Mazel Tov and congratulations to Team Finestone (Kowall Boutique Real Estate) on an incredible season!
