(Edmonton) – ‘Remembering Gene Wilder’ will be screened on May 28 at 7 pm at the Capitol Theatre at Fort Edmonton Park as part of the EJFF. Get your tickets here.

This loving tribute to Gene Wilder celebrates his life and legacy as the comic genius behind an extraordinary string of film roles, from The Producers, to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, to his inspired on-screen partnership with Richard Pryor in Silver Streak. It is illustrated by a host of touching and hilarious clips and outtakes and interviews with a roster of brilliant friends and collaborators. Remembering Gene Wilder shines a light on an essential performer, writer, director, and all-around mensch.

Special Guest Josh Miller will be introducing the film. Josh is an award-winning film writer/producer and a former Chair of the Edmonton Jewish Film Festival. Josh worked with Gene Wilder on The Silver Streak in 1976 and will be sharing some of his own memories of Gene.

The Edmonton Jewish Film Festival will be held from May 21 – 30 and includes 4 in-person feature films, 4 virtual feature films and 5 short virtual films.
