(EJNews) – On September 14th Edmonton was treated to a very unique and engaging experience, the chance to hear from the Israel National Police Spokesman, Micky Rosenfeld. Brought in by Jewish National Fund Edmonton, those in attendance had the good fortune of hearing Rosenfeld speak about his area of expertise, security in the Jewish homeland.
Rosenfeld is an engaging public speaker who is often featured in the press representing Israel’s National Police, including multiple appearance on international outlets including CNN. Hearing him speak, it is clear that not only is he an expert, but that Israel truly has an excellent spokesperson and advocate in Micky.
After his presentation, featuring a multimedia presentation, Rosenfeld took questions from the crowd, to help better understand specific concerns, and clarifications on various security and Israel related topics, moderated by Erin Wright.
Attendees came away having experienced what truly was an eye opening, and engaging educational experience about a topic close to many of our hearts.
Before some schmoozing with seasonal sweets, honey cake and fruit, Jason Cairns, Executive Director of JNF made a special announcement to the crowd of 100 plus: The Jewish National Fund of Edmonton is proud to announce that the 2018 Negev Gala Dinner honourees are Lisa Miller and Farrel Shadlyn Q.C.
Farrel and Lisa are long-time supporters of the JNF, Israel, the Jewish community and the City of Edmonton serving on numerous boards, assisting and contributing to each organization with passion and dedication.
