Jewish Edmonton Stories Online: Launches November 8

(Edmonton) – Jewish Edmonton Stories Online (JESO) is a project for visitors to learn and connect with the stories and places of the Jewish community’s past and present. The official community launch is on Monday, November 8 at 7 p.m. online via Zoom.

JESO maps important places in Edmonton’s Jewish history, and documents stories from people in the community who have connections to these places.

Supported by the Edmonton Heritage Council, Jewish Archives and Historical Society of Edmonton and Northern Alberta (JAHSENA), and the Jewish Federation of Edmonton, the team behind JESO has spent the last year interviewing members of the Jewish community, editing videos and transcripts, and building a website that connects these storytellers with the places they discuss.

Meet the team, take a guided tour of the website, and meet some of our storytellers!
