Internet influencer Caroline D’Amore steps up for the Jewish Community – In Edmonton tonight

(AJNews) – The slush of the recent Edmonton thaw did not deter the teens of BBYO from congregating for a very special pro-semitism community event at Ed’s Rec Room at WEM.  Around thirty local Jewish youth, grades nine to twelve, gathered for a Sunday evening of bowling and pizza joined by a very special pop-cultural celebrity. Malibu pizza guru and internet influencer Caroline D’Amore, sat down with the teens for a candid discussion about how they have experienced antisemitism since the largest coordinated act of mob-violence against Jews in eighty-years was barbarously inflicted on October 7 in Israel.

D’Amore, not Jewish herself, admitted during a one-on-one interview with Alberta Jewish News that before that fateful day, she had been blissfully unaware of how widespread the tentacles of antisemitism reached. Silhouetted by the unflattering lights of Ed’s Rec Room, D’Amore was still dazzling as she warmly and graciously listened to the stories of a few brave high schoolers who chose to share their experiences, and was visibly moved by their candor.

D’Amore and others like her are the trailblazing pro-semitic voices within the modern discourse of the pop-cultural sphere. The BBYO teens were eager to hear the charismatic Californian speak, and the greater Jewish public still also has the opportunity to hear about D’Amore’s newly pro-semitic public message and recent outreach trip to Israel.  There is still time to register to attend her talk on January 29^th – don’t miss out!  Her’s is a philosophy of peace, unity, and hope – and who couldn’t use a bit more of that right now!
