Highlights of Chanukah at Edmonton Menorah Academy

Edmonton Menorah Academy students perform at the school's Chanukah assembly.

Students at Menorah Academy in Edmonton celebrated Chanukah last month at school in a variety of fun and interesting ways – with songs, latkes, sufganiyot, dreidels and candle lighting.

Here are some of the highlights:

Menorah students, from Toddlers through Grade 2, celebrated Chanukah with a charming performance.

In celebration of Chanukah, Menorah’s Grade 3-4 girls filled their hands with glue and gold to create these spectacular golden open books embellished with the candle lighting brachos and the Maoz Tzur! What a beautiful job they did!!!

Students created beautiful Menorahs during Mrs. Lavy’s Ivrit class. Students used glass tiles, glue, mortar, and clay to build and mold these artisan keepsakes. Great job!
