(OTTAWA) September 13, 2015 – Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada (Saanich – Gulf Islands), issued the following statement on Rosh Hashanah:
“The Green Party joins Jewish families around the world to recognize the beginning of the Jewish High Holidays.
“Rosh Hashanah is a time for families and friends to observe sacred traditions and spend time together. It is also a chance to reflect on the previous year and look ahead to the future. Today, Greens celebrate the Jewish communities’ accomplishments and contributions to Canada.
“On behalf of the Green Party of Canada, I wish all celebrating a very happy and sweet new year. Shanah Tovah Umetukah!”
