(AJNews) – On March 10, 2025 a special communication was sent to the camp community regarding the Camp BB-Riback leadership changes for Summer of 2026. Jessica Miller Switzer (Board Chair) and the Board of Directors made the following announcements:
“We are pleased to share some important updates regarding our Executive Director, Stacy Shaikin. Over the past seven summers, Camp BB has grown in many ways, and an exceptional senior staff has been cultivated. It is bittersweet to announce that this will be Stacy’s final summer with Camp BB. Stacy will be embarking on a new professional opportunity, and thus, we will be hiring a new Executive Director. Stacy is committed to ensuring a safe and fun summer for the campers and staff and will stay with us to ensure a smooth transition to our new Executive Director.”
This summer Stacy will be supported by his long-term staff, continued Switzer. “Returning to the roles of Senior Assistant Directors are Maria Pastella and Baillee Saeger-McRobbie; both of whom have earned this leadership role over the last five years at camp. Matt Dickson and Danny Shlomovitch are also back again as Assistant Directors after a successful 2024 summer in program and specialty rotation management roles. Amy Shlomovitch (Assistant Director/Operations), Hannah Pertman (Assistant Director/Program Manager), Avital Apartzev (Assistant Director/Judaica) and Danica Cheyfitz (Office Manager) round out the head staff with a combined total of 12 years on camp in leadership roles.”
Next year Camp BB Riback will be celebrating its 70th anniversary, added Switzer. “The opening of the Executive Director role is an opportunity to find the perfect individual(s) to grow on the momentum the camp has built in the last few years, and take us into our 8th decade at Pine Lake, AB.
