Devorah Kaplan and Carla Lehrer were the super heroes who organized the event.

(EJNews) – Edmonton’s Challah Bake 2017 –  part of the Shabbos Project initiative – came into fruition with thanks to Devorah Kaplan and Carla Lehrer. The event was co-hosted by Menorah Academy and the EDJGE and held at Edmonton Talmud Torah School.

This year’s Challah Bake was opened up with Devorah Kaplan challenging over 200 women to ignite their superpowers as Jewish women and to take that superpower to spread unity and love across our community.

This will be the fourth year of The Great Edmonton Challah Bake. An event that brings out women from all backgrounds and affiliations to enjoy a fun night of learning how to make and braid challah just like your Bubby used to !!!!

The evening was hosted by Edmonton’s very own challah expert Rebettzin Miriam White who wowed us with her challah braiding techniques and spiritual charm.

With inspiring words from Chabad’s Mrs. Devorah Pinson, the evening was truly a night not to be missed.

Over 200 women and girls gathered at Talmud Torah School for the 2017 Challah Bake sponsored by Edmonton’s Menorah Academy and The EDJGE.
