Jewish Family Services Edmonton appoints interim Executive Director

(June 28, 2019) – Jewish Family Services Edmonton welcomes Ms. Kelly Sloan as their Interim Executive Director beginning Tuesday, July 2.

In a press release the JFA stated, “We anticipate that she will be with the organization through the summer as we conduct a search for a permanent Executive Director.  As you may know, Robert Mitchell is leaving us today to return to England, and we wish him well and thank him for his service.”

Kelly has 25 years of experience with nonprofits, both working in senior positions and consulting with organizations regarding operations, governance, and strategic planning.  Her biography is available at https://www.sloanleadershipconsulting.ca/about-kelly-sloan.html.

Kelly will carry out the normal duties of Executive Director, working with the staff and Board during this transition period and ensuring stability in JFS’s relationships with stakeholders and funders.  She is participating in the ongoing hiring process for a new Executive Director.
